That was a problem that some found, when they used a relay that had a high resistance winding that could be energized by the Cruise Control Deactivation circuit that uses the starter solenoid to turn off the Cruise when P or N is selected.
As long as the type of relay is a 30 amp and has a armature winding resistance, of about 100 Ohms or less, you will not have a problem.
