Thanks John, hmmm I would want to know a bit more before I fitted one.
Is it a micro-controller or a box of relays ? Since nothing is ever free I wonder what sort of battle is going on between the two competing control systems ?

The weird shifting is an acquired taste on the SVX, I did read somewhere they used Fuzzy Logic to determine the shifts (very 1980's) and that is why after an hour cruising on the motorway the damn thing will not allow you to accelerate without flooring the throttle. After driving it for so long my brain has been remapped, so I anticipate needing to floor it.

I cant think of anything I would want to replace it with.
