Yeah, the intake cover retainer pins I bought came in a Nissan baggie. This is probably not a bad thing, as these cars are getting on up in years. The more "generic" parts applications = the longer those parts are likely to be available.
I was surprised to find that a local auto parts shop had an accessory belt for my car in stock, as there are so few SVXs in this area and none for many miles, then someone reminded me that that belt certainly fits several different cars.
