The sound of the exhaust that you are trying to get, is due to it being a flat four cylinder engine. The firing order, has the cylinders one one side firing 180* apart, so they overlap, then the other side pair fire 180* so that the sound from one side, blends together to sound like one cylinder. Out the back it sounds like a big twin. Corvairs and Volkswagens sound the same.
The SVX fires cylinders, alternately, one side to the other .
