I run mine around 47 front, 45 rear. Give or take a few psi. I like the tires hard, and they wear much better that way. Never had a center wear before the shoulders doing this.
Heat is the enemy. Underinflation causes more belt flexing which builds more heat. I don't claim to be an expert, but I do make a living as a tire quality and uniformity technician for a major tire manufacturer.
