K.I.S.S. That's keep it simple stupid which is why I can't believe Huck didn't say this first. The oil dipstick has an o-ring on the top that holds it in place. They tend to get smaller with age causing it to pop up an inch or so. If that's the case simply replace it with a new ring and you're in business. That said the PCV is supossed to be replaced every 30k or so anyways so it definately won't hurt replacing it. BUY A SUBARU ONE THOUGH as the aftermarket ones aren't liked by Subies and will probably cause more problems than the $2 savings was worth. Just remember, huck did mention that it is quite a pain to change.
