Anyway, Aredub, let's be honest here. You meet Joe. Joe has a mullet. A nascar shirt. He drives a rusty cavalier. He works GM plant, installing dash clusters. His favorite beer is budweiser. He uses an older compaq to get on the internet.
Now we meet John. John has a normal haircut. He wears a business suit. He drives a new BMW 5 series. He owns his own business, an advertising agency. His favorite beer is Heiniken. He uses a new G5 for the net, flash animation, web design, and photoshop.
Who do you think is more intelligent???
Exactly.
John. The moral of the story? YOU CAN pre-emptively get an idea of WHO a person is, based on their belongings, hobbies, and likes/dislikes.

Having grown up in the former world and worked for the past 31 in the latter, I'd have to say I could appreciate the intellengence of each, according to their need to exist. If you put the former in the latter's job, they would come off as an idiot, and vice versa (as proven by Paris Hilton's attempt to work on a dairy farm). And, again, having met many "Johns" in my career, many of them "look" good, but are absolute mental midgets. Not to mention, when their B'mer dies, they have to turn it over to a "Joe" to work on it. It takes all kinds to make a world. Your comparison, obviously smacks of prejudice.
As far as "thinking of you as an idiot," it's impossible for you to KNOW what I was thinking, through any comment. Please refresh my memory on what you're talking about and I'll be happy to confirm or deny your assumption. To my recollection, I've never, in my tenure on this site, outright called anyone an idiot.
