I would not worry about the pipe leaking. All the pipes in the valve body are just push in. They all leak, they are allowed to do this as the pump has the capacity to pump the ATF through all leaks and still operate all the functions.
It just circulates the ATF to cool and lube the gears and clutches.

The pipe leaking won't cause the binding you have, as it is the pressure in this pipe that is applying the clutch. If it was leaking too much, you would not have the clutch work at all.
