And how wrong you are! The H3 takes over 11 sec to reach 60 MPH. As for autocross, take a look at
http://www.gws-mbca.org/ax/ax2005.html for the 2005 results of the season for the Mercedes Club with which we autocross. Overall seventh (of the non-Benz cars) for the SVX isn't too bad
- placing behind the following, in order of finish (1st through 6th): 2000 Audi S4 (driven by Mike Wirt - SVX'er), 2003 Honda S2000, 2002 WRX, 1999 Mustang GT, and 2002 VW GTI 337.
But the major point, we have lots of FUN! You should try it.
The SVX will surprise you!
