yeah soap and water should do the trick.

i watched the dude's at the carwash i go to wash my mats and trunk carpet.

they drenched it with water, applied soapy water, brushed it with a nice brush, then used a plastic ice scraper to remove access water. they did it twice and set it in the sun for about 20 minutes.

i took it home and put it in out in the sun to dry the rest of the way.

i'm sure if you really wanted to get the water out, you could either blowdry it with a blowdrier or use a iron to get rid of the excess water.

those mats looked alot nicer after their wash. well worth the $40.
