Consider, cost of the ticket may include insurance premium increases. In many cases this may be more costly than the up front costs alone, fine / court fees.
It may be worth your time and effort to try and plea to a non-moving violation that may be the same, "COST" as far as fine and court fees, but won't be an additional cost of X% per year on your insurance.
Again, this is your call, but in the long run the cost in insurance may well exceed the apparent up front expenses.
