My old pulley's rubber stuff had disintegrated so the inner and outer pieces spun when I used a strap wrench. So, I had to make my own tool from a 30" long 2x6 and some 5/16" steel rod from the hardware store. I just drilled 4 holes to match the pattern and a hole in the middle for the socket. I also shaped a handle into it to make it a little more useable and now it kind of looks like an oar
