Oh yeah. Water Temperature Sensor. Don't know if it's common, but if you have strange problems and a check engine light and the code says it's malfunctioning...
Just go into the dealer and ask for a Water Temperature Sensor off of a 95 Legacy. They're the same, but the Legacy part is cheaper. No joke; they're the same Part # and everything.
