By the way we are in UK gallons (which I think is more than US Gallons?).
Basically the better the fuel (then the more it costs) - but you get more out of it.
I also tend to run on long trips 98 + a couple of fuel additive extras (something like STP or some such named octane booster).

good lord,thanks steve,good to have someone tested for us....ur numbers reconfirm numbers the mazda car club done on their mazda3,which factory recommended 95 only,due to their chipbox setting,when 91 was used,u get very low milege than 95....so better use the highest one we could get....work out the same,but u dont risk other engine problems...thanks
