Seriously though if it were me, I'd do the 5/6spd swap, and while Im not the most mechanicaly inclined I'd try and do the work myself and then when I f-it up, I'll rent a U-haul van and 4 wheel carrier and tow it to either Tom's (svxfiles) and pay him to fix/finish the job or to Jesse's (and go vist my folks in NYC) and do the same.
