I have a hunch that the Landwind isn't a 'ripoff' of the Rodeo - it's likely a licensed copy. Now, it wouldn't be the first time a Communist government straight up copied a product without a license, but it'd be much easier to just buy the thing than copy it part for part.

I found one page comparing the car to a Rodeo, a Touareg and an F150. The F150 is the biggest surprise to me. I mean, no passenger vehicle in the world outsells the F150, and look at how it fares in a crash:
