LOL That coeffiecent of drag is the killer as you increase the speed of a vehicle. Anybody that has ever ridden a standard cycle without a screen at 55 and at 75 can attest to the power of air at those speeds.
Instead of even thinking about doing something that will cause wear (although on a properly warmed up car it is minimal except to those starter brushes which are cheap anyways) and isn't the safest thing just slow down a bit you'll gain a ton more than by playing with the on off switch. Of course where you don't need to go through a drive thru park and go in. It really isn't that hard unless you have 5 little ones in the car!
