You can reset the obdII, however it will not pass smog for at least 60 miles as it needs to relearn itself. There is a good chance that it will bring back the cel that you wanted to eliminate.
Simply disconnect the negative battery terminal. Step on the brake pedal for 5 seconds. Then, with negative still disconnected, tap the negative lead to the positive terminal. This will reset the ecu and clear any codes stored. Reconnect the negative lead and your good to go.
