Sorry, I can't watch the Beverly Hillbilies. It's too close to home. Just like that great docudrama on the Southern Culture, "Mamma's Family." Hee Haw, to me, was a "News Magazine."
When I think of "hillbillies" I think of family. Maybe that's why I get a little "touchy" when the word is used in a negative way.
