I have heard that black or very dark can be harder to paint. For what it's worth, the 92 above is not
black, but
Ebony Mica (335, I think) .. which is a very very deep dark metal-flake red/brown/black. The sparkly deep red/brown/black is clearly visible in certain angles of sunlight, and that's what I am hoping to bring out and refine with careful and rigorous waxing.
