I really don't think you can go wrong with Subaru fluid either. Mobil 1 Synth is about $5-7 a quart.

Do a search for the tranny cooler. There is a ton of info. Personally I think they're a waste of time without a tranny temp gauge but that's just anal me. I like to know when I'm cooking my fluids so I can change 'em before it becomes too late.
