It looks like a really nice car.

Whoever gets an option on it should be under no illusion that it would be easy to get the car past type approval into the US and legally registered.

Years of red tape pain I would say, with no guarantee of official acceptance at the end of the tunnel. It will be a brave person with deep pockets that will take this on.

It must surely be easier to buy a VTD drivetrain and TCU and fit it to a US silver car and paint the flanks mid grey. You would end up with a LHD Japanese market car. Much cheaper and quicker than import approval.
