I think the main thing with the spoke design is the ventilation on the rotors and pads. You might want to keep them how they are since they are meant to turn in one direction only.
I make it a point to make sure they go the right way. You don't know how many people I have argued with and they have the guts to tell me that I had them the wrong way initially.
