From what I understand, chip repairs are genrally easy, fast, and perminent. I know for a fact the chip will still be visible, because of the tint seperating. Of course, there's always a chance that the chip will spider out and crack the whole windshield during the repair (if that happens, it was going to happen anyway) Your probly best off getting some sort of glass coverage, and then having them do the repairs
