It probably would attract a bit but not as much as WD-40, etc. Another thing to try is isopropyl alcohol, which repels water and keeps ice from forming on surfaces...it's what they use in aircraft de-icer systems...you can buy it at CVS, Brooks, etc. where they sell rubbing alcohol. Just make sure you get isopropyl.
