Clarion does make a very similar looking unit and someone said earlier that it probably is manufactured by Clarion for Subaru. i don't like the sound quality of it, but the one Clarion makes for consumer use may be better quality than the one they make for Subaru. anyways, i wouldn't recommend the Subaru version. i would suggest a 6.5" powered Bazooka tube, or better yet (but more money), the Infinity Basslink. both of these are good quality powered subs that would hardly affect trunk space.
