Re: front right ABS speed sensor
Hi Jvan,
I've removed this a few times (and replace one completely once), it's not too much of a pain. There is a bolt holding it on the back of the hub, you'll need to remove that to get the sensor out. The hard part is getting the sensor out without damaging it, but since you are placing it you'll have luxury of not carrying about the old sensor (good practice to try and remove it without damaging it).
Once it's off you'll need to remove the bracket(s) that holds the cable out the way until you get to the plug. I forget if this one goes through the wheel well into the engine bay or not, I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Notes:
- Save the shim in case you need one for your new sensor.
- My wheel well was so caked in mud/dirt, I couldn't find the cable at first.
- Take care when installing the new sensor, try not to ban it or drop it.
- Download a copy of the Factor Service Manual and get the torque specs.
Good luck!
Ian.
