Well I had the chance to measure up a 5EAT in a 2006 Subaru Outback 3.0R and I compared it to the original SVX transmission.

Looks like the 5EAT is about 4-5 inches longer than the 4EAT so you would have to get the driveshaft shortened, and also maybe make up a custom or modified rear transmission cross member.

I couldn't get a super accurate measurement of the 5EAT because it was still mounted up in a car but if I ever see one laying around in the open I will be sure to measure it.
