Been in contact with the Lafayette Suites by Hilton AND the Hampton Inn Lafayette. These were the host hotels for the Tenth Anniversary back in 2002..

I have attached the two contracts for a side by side comparison.


THE BASICS

We are initially getting a block of 40 rooms total for each night. 15 Double Queen and 10 King Standard Rooms at the Hampton and 15 King Standard Suites at Homewood Suites. Once those book up, they can always add more and expand the block.

Cutoff date for the block is Thursday, April 6, 2017. Any rooms in the block not reserved will be returned to general inventory and may not be available at the group rate.

Cancellation date for reserved rooms is Saturday, April 15, 2017 (21 days prior to arrival)



The King Suite Rooms at the Homewood Suites are 1 king bed and a separate area with a pull-out full size bed. Plus kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Sleeps 4 people.

The Double Queen rooms at the Hampton Inn are 2 queen beds and no sofa. Sleeps 4 people
The Standard King rooms at the Hampton Inn have a king bed only. Sleeps 2 people

ALL RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS in Indiana are non-smoking. Minimum age for registration is 21. That can be adjusted on a case by case basis; Has to be someone staying in the room over 21 if others are under age.

We are NOT going to have the pre-charge provision. CC info is taken by the hotel to confirm, but not charged until checkout. You MAY pre-pay if you want and all the paperwork is done.

State and hotel taxes are 12%. so total price per room (per night) is as follows:

Homewood Suites: $149.00 plus taxes, is $166.88 per night
Hampton Inn: $139.00 plus taxes, is $155.68 per night

I strongly encourage room sharing whenever possible, especially for the younger members. I remember spending very little time in my room in 2002; a quick nap and a shower, etc. Accommodations, plus gasoline and food add up quickly, even for the more affluent members

The rooms have been pulled from inventory and we are entered into the hotel's computer system and you are welcome to start calling for reservations whenever you like. Remember the earlier you call, the more likely we can secure the rooms we need. Rooms may be in short supply later as Purdue University's graduation is the following week, May 12-14




IMPORTANT NOTE

You have to call either hotel and ask for the SVX Group Rate with provided dates. You can also call Breanna Calloway directly at (765) 269-2013 and she would be be happy to make reservations herself

There is currently NO option for input of the group code when booking online
