Sean, hang in there buddy.
Two weeks ago i got my divorce from my wife of 17 years after 12 moths of separation.My son is 16 and is taking it as a champ,doesn't blame either of us for the situation.IM making sure i have very good contact with him,we share custody.
Im lucky we did it without lawyers envolved,no alimony or child support either.
If you and your wife can talk and act as two adults,you should be able to work it out without a lot of drama.Your kids will be fine as long as you have good contact with them (living 2 hrs from them will not help unfortunetlly).
I hope your job situation will improve,but if not you may have better outcome with child support and alimony .
