Re: Wondering what happened to my old car.

LOL, not that I know of.

It needed some work to improve it. Things like a better gear ratio, better altenator setup. Stuff like that. He, also, bought the CAMS, Eagle Rods, and CP Pistons to build the engine. I was wondering how far he got on it.

The JDM 6-speed gears were just to close together for a supercharged car that doesnt need to keep the RPMs up for turbo spool and the altenator could barly keep the battery charged because it spun too slow at idle and the belt would slip if you put too much load on it. I couldn't use the A/C or Radio on long trips. Tha adjustment bolt would frequently break too.

I think YT had removed is A/C compressor on his car and put the altenator there, but I wasn't willing to give up on the A/C.

On a side note, because of financial reasons, I'm probably going to be getting rid of my Camaro. I will be moving back east to an area that actually has 4 seasons. So I am looking at getting a vehicle that is 4 season capable. I've been looking at used Legacy 2.5GTs. I want one of the 6-speed Limited cars, but they seem to be pricey still. I've been seeing quite a few 2005ish 5-speed cars in the $5000 to $8000 range. Mileage isn't an issue for me as I will have access to a full shop with a lift and will be doing all my own maintenance.
