As near as I can surmise, the neighbors 3 labradoodles (a cross between and lab and a poodle?...) must have cornered a varmint under the car and worried it till they got crazy. My renter said that the commotion got his dog barking so he went out to see what was going on, and that he ran the dogs off.
This happened while the neighbor was on vacation in Germany. His dogs are corraled by the buried wire/shock collar thing which works pretty well as long as the wire is patent and the batteries are all good- so pretty much never.
I'm hoping he has good home owners insurance. My renter got Pics, so I should be OK.
