Which one is that? I've a got a planetary thingy, remember.
Do you think the sound originates from the rear diff? It sounds more like coming from the back far left (but that's probably because I sit on the left).
Why would the servo pump or whatnot affect that? I'm only turning the steering wheel and keep the brakes down. There is no actual movement forward when this is occuring, the car still in "R". Tomorrow, I will put in in Neutral and not brake while I turn the wheel.
Sorry for the sloppy description anyway. Maybe I should try to make a sound recording, it's very there and should be picked up on just about any microphone.
EDIT: I'm not trying to convince myself it's 4WS, I've just considered the pressure in those rusty brakelines and possible ...interaction... between the steering and brake systems.. uh
