I took a look at this problem. I wonder what they were thinking. I had never before seen a window lift mechanism that rubs the visible glass area deliberately.

So I am working on a simple mod to replace these rubbing blocks with a long section of pile seal. It should be stable due to the large contact area and won't be capable of abrading the glass.
