Mr. Pockets, I agree with your opinion and I see nothing wrong with sharing the mechanics name. I would just be careful about suggesting that someone was being dishonest by mentioning possible tranny troubles at 124k miles. It all depends how the question was framed and understood and how the answer was framed and understood. There is always potential for misunderstanding in these discussions and I would not like to see someone get a bad rap for no reason and with no chance to present their side of the story. However, if the mechanic/customer discussion can be clearly confirmed and any misunderstanding clarified, and/or if there is a pattern that can be established, then we can all make our own judgements, positive or negative.
