update , just got my car back from the transmission guy
he said the gearbox was surprisingly clean inside for how old it is
and there was nothing on the magnet at all
he tightened the brake bands and replaced the trans filter and pan gasket
(apparently they are the exact same part for all 4eats he was doing an early forester after mine and had the same filter and gasket for it aswell )
also i finally found the transmission name
