I live a few miles from the Deka plant in PA. I have "The Usable" (factory seconds) in two of my cars and my lawn tractor. They work just fine.
My dad just replaced his backup sump pump battery with a Deka. Saved some money and didn't have to put the acid in it himself; apparently the store that he got his last battery from keeps them in dry storage, sold him the battery and acid, and sent him home to fill it himself.
I guess we'll see how long this one lasts. I'll get back to you all in 5 years...
