Thanks, that makes it much more clear on the mounting.

I guess I may have to find someplace to source some aluminum, and a way to bend it.

Good to know about filing down the alternator terminal. I was a bit worried about the inside diameter of the ring being too big to properly cinch down, but it seems like you have it buttoned up. I trust you that it works.
