Re: WTB Power steering Cap or advice

So there IS a seal on the inside of the power steering cap?

What's it look like? A big circle of rubber that covers the whole inside of the cap (with a hole in the middle for the "dipstick")?

Mine has no such seal and occasionally ATF leaks out the top of the resevoir.

The other day CAM was over at my place and since we were dealing with an unrelated PS leak, he took a look at my cap to see if it matched his (he has also had the problem of leaking fluid out the top). Since both our caps matched, we assumed there was no seal there and it was just a "quirk" of the car.

Although I hadn't really noticed a leak until the last year or so, the previous 10 years never had a problem. But I have no idea where the seal would have disappeared to suddenly.
