I suppose you would like to states to charge higher sales tax to the wealthy when they go to the grociery store or buy a car or gas because that would be "empathetic" to the "less fortunate". This is the LAND OF OPPORTUNITY where you're free to live your dream, work hard and earn as much money as you can and if you're successful enough we'll take it from you and hand it out to those who aren't.
