Speaking from experience i had an intermittent problem, i could drive the car for an hour or 2 so then it wouldn't restart until jumped then it would go for several weeks and do it again, i changed the battery solved it for 1 week then the lights stayed on last thursday, turns out the rectifier was crapped out,i suspect this is why it was only doing it ocasionally i ended up modding the mounts to accept a 2.5 legacy alt i think it was a 23700-AA220 this is more available around here
, it has to last till wed when she gets traded on a new impreza so i think maybe it doesnt want to go
