Fuel system cleaner

On the low mileage thread there was a mention of using a fuel system cleaner to help clean up the injectors. It reminded me of a thread I found when looking this stuff up for a friend that was having rough idle problems. What do you think of this study:

I'm not sure tar is a good representative of buildup in a fuel system. The good news was that Toluene, a common octane boost, was the best cleaner and was least harmful to nylon. But, again, it cleaned tar. And who is to say that nylon is the only thing to worry about as far as plastics and rubbers in the fuel system are concerned. The best product, which was also safe to nylon, was Duralube. The stuff is tough to find. Not sure what to make of this "study".
