4.11 Swap almost done, few tech questions

Before the old 3.54 trans died completely, I played around with the pressure control sol. unplugged. I love the way it shifts when it keeps full line pressure during shifts. I'm the only one who drives the car, so if I break something I dont mind fixing it. I realize the axles, u joints etc are going to receive more "shock" to them causing faster wear and breakage. Is there any other ill effects I'm going to see on the car running it with the pressure control sol. unplugged (the resistor thats along side the battery)

And if so, what resistance of resistor are you guys using the firm up the shifts? Rightfully I could buy the premade stuff, but that requires shipping, putting money on my debit card etc ( work 7 days a week turning wrenches so I dont mind making the stuff) I'm also thinking about getting the upgraded TCU and having shift points programmed for it.

Second question is for the guys running upgraded TCU's:

What RPM are you setting 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shift points at? I'm thinking 6k for 1-2, 7k for 2-3 and 5k for 3-4... Keep in mind I'm a stickshift driver, so I'm not too familiar with automatics and when they need/should shift.

Oh yeah, early 92 SVX, 176k miles. 4.11 donor came from a 96 lego
