I don't know whether that specific transmission will bolt up or not. Most auto boxes from Subarus in the past ten years will, if I'm correct. But if the 2002 RS tranny bolts up, then you will definitely need the rear differential as well. Some custom driveshaft work may be necessary, as well.

A tranny from a 2002 RS sounds expensive - why would you go through the trouble?
