The only thing that changes is what parts are reclaimed, and for $78 I promise you, most of it will be reclaimed.

Argue this point to Christian Caudle at Maniac Electric Motors in Dallas. I guarantee you will lose. Her number is 972-557-5768.
She is very knowledgeable and knows more area than anyone I have come across. She has never been at a loss for exact and complete answers to any questions I have asked.
For the 160A High-Output alternators she uses internal voltage regulators from Germany that she had made for our applications. They are much more reliable and stable than those made here. She does not use kits to rebuild them.
I, and the SVX community have a special relationship with the company and she goes out of here way to make sure everthing is perfect and does not come back. She even put my SVX Alternator Wiring Modification on her websire as an example of how do do things right.
What other company would buy your old cores and pay to have them shipped, without having to buy a nother alternator. See HERE
I had an electrical issue after I had a 160A high-output alternator built by them. Not knowing if it was alternator-related, she immediately sent me another high-output unit by Fedex overnight to install, along with a return tag to send back the other alternator.
She disassembled the alternator, inspected and double-checked every bit of the alternator by hand, various load tests and even installed another NEW rectifier from Germany and sent it back to me.
She also told me to keep the other High-output alternator in case I ever needed it, so that if I EVER had an issue, I wou not have any "down time".
You will not find any better customer service anywhere! In the past, I have had alternators built at specialty shops which were adequate. But if they ever needed repair under warranty, it was not a no-hassle scenario.
