I downloaded a list of Subaru paint codes some years ago. With a lot of patience I built it into an Excel spreadsheet.

It is my contention that this paint code is the actual paint Subaru used on the roof of the SVX. It is not listed anywhere as the paint used in any SVX technical literature or WSMs or bulletins or such.

However case for the defense holds that this is :-

a) The only black solid paint listed by Subaru for 92->
b) The year of issue coincides with the launch of the SVX
c) The code is 204, which as we determined above denotes 92 sales year.
d) It is one of only two solid blacks in 484 Subaru paint codes.
e) The other solid black is dated 1984.

The defense rests, your honour, let the yoots debate whether my case holds water.
