Search took 1.99 seconds. Search: Key Word(s): "abs, light"
Man, you are not even following your own conventions here. Your directions were "abs+light", yet here you now contend "abs, light" will work as a search here.

It will not and does not work on this forum.

To reiterate:

Search parameters are search all open forums, thread titles only, at least 0 replies, any date, return in order of last posting date.
  1. "abs, light" returns 484 results
  2. "abs+light" returns 484 results
  3. "abs light" returns 484 results
  4. "light" returns 484 results
  5. light returns 484 results
  6. "abs" returns "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
  7. abs returns "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

I don't know how you evaluate searches, but to me that indicates what I said above.
  • The Forum search engine does not work for phrases enclosed in inverted commas
  • It does not search for ANY word of less than four letters
  • It ignores "+" instructions
  • It ignores "," instructions
  • It ignores "AND" instructions

What would be very useful for members would be if we could configure the site so that the Google search engine could search the complete forum. If we could set that in place then all these useful functions for inclusion or exclusion would actually work, and members could run decent searches that would pull up a smaller number of more relevant results.

Meanwhile with the search function we have in place you would probably be quicker just reading all the Technical forums back to day 1 to find your answers.
