Way to go, Huck! That was it, exactly: the a/c guy knocked it off when he replaced the hard a/c line that takes the threaded sensor. He also misrouted the a/c line to the compressor under the alternator wiring loom, broke the plastic guard, shoved a relay into the gap where the hood latches, etc.

For this I paid him han$omely: wait 'till he finds out what the wiring harness he butchered co$t$!

Now, what do you think caused my low fuel warning lamp to come on with about a quarter tank of gas left? It was filled in Caldwell, ID, estimated elevation 2,385 ft. and the light came on west of Arlington, OR, at about 2,100+ ft. LOWER elevation?

As soon as I stopped and put in some gas the light went off. There was about a 1/4 tank because when I added 8 gallons, or so, the gauge went to about 3/4ths. There was no "WHOOSH!" in either direction when I gently unscrewed the fuel cap, either...
