If a friction-lowering agent alleviates AWD binding, isn't the net effect is the same as inserting the FWD fuse?
I drove one of mine with the FWD fuse for awhile (weeks, months, I've forgotten), with no obvious problem.
No need for synthetics or such, in my book.
