Advice is always a gift.

I also realized that my negative battery terminal clamp isn't doing it's job anymore since I had it rigged with a supporting 4 gauge. I've gone out and bought a new post and wire ends and will see if it was a continuity problem. That may also explain to some degree the awful starting issue I've been having, although I think that's far more likely the ignition switch component dying on me.

I need to remove the radio to diagnose a ground hum, so we'll see if the connector the unit itself is not fully seated, and I can do further diag of voltage and resistance between there and the battery. If this ends up being fine, I will give the main airbag a shot.... err, attempt.

Can anyone tell me exactly which metal box in radio area is the airbag CU? Will it be obvious? I've never intentionally looked.
